I Just Wanna Run

I'm really frustrated. Maybe it's because of the fact that our teachers managed to schedule 6 quizzes for us this week. Or maybe it's because our teachers over-react too much. Or it may possibly have something to do with the fact that I absolutely hate Chemistry.

At the rate we're going, I suspect I'll be able to apply to university next year (and that's telling you something!). I don't think we have the brain capacity to understand what we're being taught now. LOL
My Arabic teacher screamed at me today, because I told one of my friends that the story in Arabic we were taking is about the Templar Knights and Salahuddin Al Ayoubi.

Teacher: YA MISS! WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU?! *spittle flying everywhere*
Me: Nothing! I was telling her about the story!
Teacher: *points to my friend* Go get the superintendent and bring her to class. NOW!
My friend: She's not here, I checked earlier.
Teacher: *all puffed and angry*

Seriously! Chill! We know teachers deal with students all day, but in turn the students deal with the teachers. If the teachers are mean to us, we won't listen or take them seriously. I don't think they understand that. And to add a random thing that happened today: Our Ministry Social teacher told us to come to her office and get our notebooks (she had taken them in to check our work, etc). She told us she had bad news.
Ugh, God, what now?! Apparently, the storm last night managed to FLOOD (yep, I said flood) her office and all of our notebooks were soaken wet beyond recognition. There are things wrong with this world that are totally unexplainable. It gives me a headache!

Go die, Stoichiometry! Go dieeeeeeeeeeee!

I just wanna run, hide it away
Run because they're chasing me down
I just wanna run, throw it away
Run before they're finding me out
I just wanna run...

Caged In

(doesn't that pic look like something out of a horror movie? LOL It was really foggy outside that day, so I decided to snap a picture xD Check out the random lamp post.)

My school is weird. There has never been a doubt about that. Ever since I started at this school, I thought it would get better with time, but it hasn't. *sigh*
There are some really strange things that happen there. And it's even stranger since it's an all girls school.

I always wondered why there were CAGES on the windows. I mean, what... what the heck is that all about?! Why would they put cages on the windows? Is there are reason for it?
Maybe it's to prevent people from escaping during school hours (I wouldn't be surprised if that happened before hahaha)... you know, jumping out of the windows and vaulting over the school walls.

Oh, how I wish it didn't make us feel like every class was a prison... jeez.!

Tell it like it is

One of the advantages of being a human is the ability of having a choice: this or that, here or there, love or hate, happy or sad? Having a choice gives us the power we need to survive this life. It's how the manager of that big-shot company rose to the top, it's how the rich guy now lives on the streets, it's how you feel.

The biggest option that is placed before us in life is whether or not to tell the truth. Especially in today's soceity, the truth can be a scary thing... or it can be something so completely humble. Every religion on this earth pushes us to tell the truth, to testify, to bear witness.

Then why is it such a hard thing to do?

"I wanted to ditch class today, so I wrote a letter and faked my parent's signature so I can give it to the teacher and leave class." , "I told my family that I made everything by scratch when all I really did was order food from some ritzy restaurant." , "I didn't want to go to work today, so I called in sick when I really wasn't."

Excuses, lies... whatever you want to call them. Once you start, you can't stop. Sometimes people even convince themselves they're telling the truth when it's actually a big lie. *raises an eyebrow* How is it that we allow ourselves to slip so EASILY into lies and it's really hard to tell the truth? People don't like liars.

Even if you did get that bad grade or whatever, why not tell the truth even if there are consequences? Eventually, people will learn to respect you as a person. The reality is, is that everyone appreciates the truth much more than lies.

“For every beauty there is an eye somewhere to see it. For every truth there is an ear somewhere to hear it. For every love there is a heart somewhere to receive it.” -Ivan Panin (Russian mathematician1855-1942)

Tell it like it is and you'll gain a whole lot more out of life! (:

Out of the Blue Intro

So, this is counted as my official first post... right? I thought I'd launch my blog off with a fun way of introducing myself.
Quickie: I'll go by the name of Texan Teen while blogging. I have a super awesome first name that a lot of people know, but I'd rather keep it to myself than announce it to the world lol! You've probably guessed I'm from Texas by now- I was born and raised in the state of Texas and I'm always proud to admit I come from the Lone Star State. It's where I savoured the best family get-togethers and a whole lot of love.
When I was eight years old, we moved to Germany where I learned their language and explored the European ways of life. In the summer of 2007, we moved to United Arab Emirates. At first it was a big shock, but we've slowly gotten used to the customs, traditions and culture.
I also belong to the wonderful religion of Islam, which makes me a Muslim.

Muslim: one who submits to God and does not associate partners with Him. One who believes that the last Prophet sent to teach humanity monotheism, is Muhammed (Peace and blessings be upon him).

I am a very avid reader and writer. I learn something new everyday and try to increase my knowledge of the world to the best of my ability. I'm going to be 16 years old really soon!
I love to laugh and make people laugh. My family and friends mean the world to me and I would do anything for them! <3

I guess everything I wrote is pretty much my life in a nutshell.
Oh, and I should mention that I most probably won't be updating my blog every day of the week, because I have school (:

Without further ado....

The time has come!!!

You know, I've been contemplating on making a blog for a while now. I've finally decided to type in blogger.com on my computer and here I am! I think I still have to travel down the blogging road a bit in order to understand how everything works...
But you know what the funniest thing is?

So there I am, thinking I'm all that and a bag of chips starting a blog and when I try to register under my email, it tells me "This email is already in use."
Um. What?! ... And then I finally understood! I remembered I had made a blog once before- 4 years ago. 0.0 Of course, I didn't remember the password so I had to reset it. When I read my entries I was laughing and I went ahead and deleted them... I created a new blog.
It's going to be a little bit hard balancing this between school and my usual business, so I don't think I'll be posting that much. However, when I DO my posts will be absolutely positively fantabulous... I promise!
And so it is with great pride I introduce you to my blog! LOL

Without further ado....
I now present...

Chewed Erasers & Crazy Outburts!

(cool name, huh?)
